Sign up for upcoming trips and stay in touch with Beth Pellegrini for trip details, suggestions, and registration information. Upcoming trips are open to all Oxford Area Senior Center participants.

Please note that reservations are required, payment is due at sign-up, and no refunds are available after the registration deadline.

Nutrition Services for Seniors

The lunch program is provided by the Chester County Department of Aging Services (CCDAS) and features a daily hot meal served Monday through Friday. It is designed to offer accessible, nutritious food to community members, requiring advance notice to ensure enough meals are prepared without creating food waste.

  • Time: Lunch is served at 12:00 PM (Monday–Friday). We ask everyone to be here by 11:45 AM to be seated for the lunch procedure.
  • Reservations: Please register at least two days in advance for your lunch reservation. You can secure your spot using one of the following options:
    • Call 610-932-5244 to sign up over the phone.
    • Stop by in person and write your name directly in the Lunch reservation book.
  • Cancellations: If you cannot make it, call as soon as possible and no later than 10:00 AM on the day of your reservation.
  • Cost (Suggested Donation: voluntary & confidential):
    • Age 60 and older: $2.00
    • Under age 60: $5.70
  • Payment Note: Due to confidentiality requirements, we are not allowed to make change during lunch in the Lunchroom. CORRECT CHANGE must be placed in an envelope that is provided for you at your place setting. If you need change, please get change from our Hostess PRIOR to lunch service.

Weekly produce

Every Monday (excluding Holidays), produce and shelf food from Chester County Food Bank is available from 1pm-3pm. First come, first serve until gone. Items vary weekly and may be available Tues through Thurs, 9:30am-2:30pm, Fri 9:30am-12:30pm.

Every Wednesday morning the Giant in Jennersville donates their two day-old bread and pastries to our Center. Pick up some bread while you’re here between 10am-3pm, Weds-Fri. Pastries used as prizes at our Bingo or Birthday Party.

Senior Services

Chesco Connect

Shared Ride Program

Chesco Connect, managed by the Chester County Department of Community Transit, provides door-to-door, shared-ride transportation for county residents. To schedule a ride or set up a pre-paid account, call them directly at 610-344-5545 or visit their official website Chesco Connect for more information.

Provides Rides for the following

  • Individuals age 65+
  • Riders traveling for health care or medical services covered by Medical Assistance
  • Persons with disabilities traveling for recreation, work, shopping, and medical trips
  • General public riders paying the full fare

Fare Rate Change

Seniors riding with Chesco Connect are required to pay a $1.00 fare per ride for essential trips.

Please ensure you have the correct fare as Chesco Connect drivers DO NOT make change.

State Senator Carolyn Comitta’s Constituent Outreach Representative is available to answer any question you may have regarding Commonwealth of PA programs and services they offer via phone. In addition, a representative will be at our center on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Jon Williams, Financial Advisor will be at our center on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

A volunteer nurse is at the Center on 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11am. Stop by, have your blood pressure checked, enjoy some coffee or tea and spend some time with us. View our newsletter and check calendar on page 5 for dates.

Jane Freeman

For those of you who need help balancing your checkbook or paying a few bills, Jane Freeman can help you. You must contact Jane directly to schedule your appointment. If she is not there, leave a message with your phone number and she will return your call. This is a very helpful, free service that she is volunteering her time to do. Make sure you thank her!!
